The Intermediate Woocommerce Guide
If you’re a small business owner, chances are you’ve heard of Woocommerce. Woocommerce is a popular eCommerce platform that enables businesses to sell products and services online. In this Woocommerce guide, we’ll take a look at some of the intermediate features of Woocommerce and how you can use them to grow your business.
One of the most important features of Woocommerce is the ability to add products. To add a product, simply go to the “Products” tab and click “Add New.” From there, you’ll be able to enter all of the relevant information about your product, including the name, description, price, and images. Once you’ve entered all of the relevant information, simply click “Publish” and your product will be live on your website.
Another critical feature of Woocommerce is the ability to manage orders. To view your orders, simply go to the “Orders” tab. From there, you’ll be able to see all of the charges that have been placed on your website. You can also view additional information about each order, such as the customer’s name and address, the items that were ordered, and the current status of the order. If you need to make any changes to an order, simply click on it and make the necessary changes. Once you’re finished, be sure to click “Update” so that your changes are saved.
Configuring Shipping Options
After you’ve added some products to your store, you’ll need to configure your shipping options. To do this, go to WooCommerce > Settings from your WordPress dashboard. Then, select the Shipping tab and choose the shipping zones you’d like to configure from the drop-down menu. For each shipping zone, you’ll need to specify the shipping methods and rates that will be available to customers. Once you’re finished configuring your shipping options, click “Save changes” and your shipping settings will be updated.
Setting Up Payment Methods
For customers to be able to purchase products from your WooCommerce store, you’ll need to set up one or more payment methods. By default, WooCommerce comes with support for PayPal and Stripe—two of the most popular payment processors in the world. To set up either of these payment methods, go to WooCommerce > Settings from your WordPress dashboard and select the Checkout tab. Then, scroll down to the Checkout Process section and click on either PayPal or Stripe (depending on which payment method you want to set up). From here, you’ll be able to enter your PayPal email address or Stripe API keys (respectively) so that customers can start paying for products on your website!
One Intermediate feature of Woocommerce that many business owners don’t know about is the ability to create coupons. Coupons can be a great way to drive traffic to your website or encourage customers to purchase more items. To create a coupon, simply go to the “Coupons” tab and click “Add New.” From there, you’ll be able to enter all of the relevant information about your coupon, including the name, description, amount, expiration date, and usage limit. Once you’ve entered all of the relevant information about your coupon, simply click “Publish” and your coupon will be live on your website.
